Sheepskin Trail into Dunbar

The West Penn Railways journey to Dunbar Pennsylvania thru what was known as Bowest Siding, which had as many as three large wooden trestles which had to traverse The Pennsylvania, B & O and Western Maryland Rail lines to make its way into town. All that is remaining is finally located, due to the New Sheepskin Bike Trail which opened on May 29, 2008, a short spur route to the Great Allegheny Passage near Connellsville, PA. When biking from Connellsville to Ohiopyle it is worth your time to take a 2 mile side trip into the historical town of Dunbar.
